Geography of the Panchayat
Kulanada Grama Panchayat is situated in the Pandalam Block of Kozhencherry Taluk in Pathanamthitta District. The Panchayat covers an area of 21.57 square kilometers and consists of 17 wards.
The boundaries of Kulanada Grama Panchayat are defined by the Achenkovil River to the south, Mezhuveli Grama Panchayat to the north, Chenneerkara Grama Panchayat to the east, and Venmony and Mulakuzha Grama Panchayats to the west. Of the Achenkovil River, which flows along the southern side of the Panchayat, approximately 8 kilometers pass through Kulanada.
Kulanada Panchayat is blessed with a diverse and picturesque landscape, featuring 17 hills, 16 ponds of varying sizes, 6 canals, 39 streams, 57 public wells, vast paddy fields nestled between the hills, fertile and level riverbanks, and 8 sacred groves (Kavus) that showcase a rich balance of biodiversity.
The principal agricultural crops cultivated in the Panchayat are coconut and rubber.
